Crystal Reports vs Server

We are working towards demoing Crystal Reports/Server for its integration capabilities with Viewpoint Spectrum Software. My question comes down to strategically what would be the best practice to implement this? We have maybe a dozen people that would use the product and those would simply use the export feature mostly from the ERP software and use it more like a viewer.

But there is potential for scheduled reports needed in the future as well as customization. So the plan is to initially demo Crystal Reports Server for this scalability. Does each user then need Crystal Reports as well on their desktop to act as a client app connection to the server data?
