Has anybody created a new date format in SAP? We are on ECC 5.0 and our UK users are asking for their date to be formatted DD/MM/YYYY. The system currently has a DD.MM.YYYY, but that is not how they would like to see the date.
I see the domain "XUDATFM" has 11 date formats defined, in addition to possibly adding the format to this domain, what else would need to be done.
If this is a terrible idea, also please let me know.
If this has been done, please let me know how.
Thank you, Jay
Request clarification before answering.
SAP already has given most used date formats.
mm/dd/yyyy
dd/mm/yyyy
yyyy.mm.dd
Either follow mass update option as in one of previous post or ask users to follow steps below:
1. logon to SAP R/3
2. go to menu: System -> User Profile -> Own data
3. There are three tabs below user name a. Address, b. Defaults, c. Parameters
4. Select "Defaults" tab
5. Select "desired" date format and decimal notation
Every user can do this on their own. (if they have right authrizations).
Hope this helps.
