Column Engine on Hana cloud?

Hello Colleagues,

I have an engagement where we're supposed to migrate from Hana 2.0 to Hana Cloud, in the whole stack of calculation view we were using column engine language, since it's somewhere mentioned that it enhances the performance of the views. The question is should we keep the column engine in hana cloud as well or should we proceed with switch to SQL? What would be pros and cons?
I was trying to find any information in Hana cloud documentation, unfortunately found nothing relevant.

Hi ghenadie.caraman,

Did you mean calculation script views using old calculation engine commands like CE_UNION, CE_JOIN, CE_PROJECTION.... or inside a calculation view a calculation column with language column engine ?

For the command for sure you should think on migration as they belongs to HANA 1.0 and SQL or even calculation view graph type are estable and performant, also as far as I know they are deprecated commands.

For the language inside a graph calculation view with language Column engine or sql, I never heard about performance issues and also something relating to deprecation.
