Business Objects Data services License Manager

Hello Everyone,

I have recently not been able to start Data services Designer. On getting a new License, I am unable to add the same using the License manager. The License manager window pops up and disappears. I have tried with all the options I have been able to find on the internet.

I have tried with the -v and the -a option. However, the window does not open long enough for me to check the status.

Also, I have admin privileges, though, I do not use the administrator username. Please advise how I can update the License for the BODS client tools.

Hi Vinayak,

did you try to open the CMD window from the start menu and navigate to the folder where the License manager is installed (<INSTALL_DIR>\Data Services\bin, e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\Data Services\bin)?

There you can enter the command

LicenseManager.exe -v

and you should see the current status of the license key(s).
