BSEG Full Data Representation

Greetings,

I have been assigned a project to develope a Business Objects "Universe", which requires that I map tables at the Oracle level. I am currently mapping the BSEG (FI/CO) structure, which as you know, is NOT a physical table, but rather is in RFBLG.

Existing topics in this forum have already been very helpful in identifying secondary physical tables that comprise data for BSEG, namely:

1. Pool Tables And Cluster Tables With Examples ()

2. Selecting From BKPF and BSEG ()

My question is, do the tables BSAD, BSAK, BSAS, BSID, BSIK, BSIS completely represent ALL of the data in BSEG? Or are there some other secondary tables I should include in data that comprises BSEG?

Thank you.

David,

I also believe that the following tables are alsopart of the monster we call BSEG:

BSIM - Documents for Material

BSET - Tax Data Document Segment

Pat.

I found BSIM as an Oracle table, but not BSET. I think that all of the BSEx names are segments within RFBLG, yesno?

Hi David,

Sorry I forgot that BSET is also a cluster table. Yes, it is included within RFBLG.

No problem; I certainly appreciate your replies.

Can I safely conclude that BSAD, BSAK, BSAS, BSID, BSIK, BSIM and BSIS (7 tables) comprise all of the data in BSEG?

I'm not sure if they hold all of the rows of BSEG, but they definitely do not hold all of the data. When selecting data from BSIS for example, it's quite often necessary to go to BSEG to get data that's there and not in BSIS: GEBER and FISTL for example.

PS -It may be too late, but you probably should mark this as a question.

Thanks Pat. That document is where I started on this trek.

Rob, I was able to change it to a question ... thanks. I do hope to get as comprehensive as possible a list of tables that equate to all of BSEG, and this is the best start I've gotten so far.

I will leave this open a day or two more in hopes of anyone contributing additional tables or table information, but I will also reward points as liberally as this board will allow.

Hi David,

you ask:

Can I safely conclude that BSAD, BSAK, BSAS, BSID, BSIK, BSIM and BSIS (7 tables) comprise all of the data in BSEG?

- i think NO !

there are bookings in bseg , which are not in 1 of the 7 tables you enumerate.

-> bookings on accounts, which have no Open Item Management (skb1-xopvw = space)

-> so you'll find that postings only in bseg !

Andreas - I'm not sure about this. It may be a matter of configuration. In our system, we have entries for accounts that are not open item managed in BSIS.

If anyone is still checking this topic, I have finished mapping the FI/CO module (the tables) into a Business Objects universe. This particular R/3 database is an old archived database, which needs to continue reporting for SOX audit requirements, but has had the GUI turned off. There are no open items on this database.
