In what way the Authorization does effect the Archiving process?

Ex:For Archiving Object MM_EINA

Authorizations for MM_EINA (MM-PUR)

Use:

To archive purchasing info records, you need the

General Archiving Authorization plus

authorization for the following archiving objects with activity

M_EINF_EKG

M_EINF_EKG

M_EINF_WRK.

Kindly Clarify.

Hello,

The user who starts the archiving program requires the authorization SAP_ALL.

The authorization object S_ARCHIVE is used to check the archiving object programs.

The authorization object S_BTCH_JOB is used to check the authorization to schedule batch jobs.

In addition to these above Basis checks, each application object has authorization objects from its own application. These application-specific authorization objects are described in the

documentation.

Examples of application-specific authorization checks are:

SD_VBAK
V_VBAK_AAT: id 'AUART' field auart / id 'ACTVT' field actvt_act
V_VBAK_VKO: id 'VKORG' field vkorg
            id 'VTWEG' field vtweg
            id 'SPART' field spart
            id 'ACTVT' field actvt_act

MM_MATBEL
M_MSEG_WMB (Activity 06 - delete)

You can find this information in the Online Help. You can find further information in the SAP note 71930.

Regards,

David

I think you will rarely find a company audited by PWC and similar who are allowed to give SAP_ALL to any of their users.
