Dear experts

          while am doing Archiving am getting below error

Archive file F:\ARCHIVE\MM201209271534370MM_MATBEL.ARV cannot be opened for write program

Message no. BA248

Diagnosis

It was not possible to create an archive file with name F:\ARCHIVE\MM201209271534370MM_MATBEL.ARV .

F is probably a local PC drive,

Batch jobs cannot access local drives.

Just remember what you usually after you scheduled a batch job to run in the night: you leave the company as usual and switch off your PC. So how should the batch job access this PC drive?

Setup a path to your SAP file system..

F moved to G now?

And why would you want to read a file name SD_CUSMAS........... if you want to write an archiving file for MM_MATBEL?

I think you are totally wrong with your setup of paths.

check the job log of your write job.

or from where do you get this message that you showed here?

What was the reason? I just can see that the job failed, what does the log say?

is it because of missing authoization to write to the file system?
