Applying support packages from OS level

Hi,

I have downloaded the support package SAP-BASIS and uploaded in the directory /usr/sap/SID/EPS/in then defined the respective queue successfully.Can anybody please tell me the procedure to apply it from OS level instead of importing from SPAM.

Your help would be more useful..please give the steps

Daniel,

It is not possible to apply support packages at OS level. Please use SAP transaction SPAM as it has to go through 29 steps. You can execute report to check all the phases of SPAM.
