Any difference between Master data and User master data ?
Request clarification before answering.
Hi,
Master data in SAP is of 4 different types with respect to the business terminology.
1. Customer Master Data.
2. Material Master Data.
3. Organisational Master Data.
4. Conditional Master Data.
Ex: A small retail chain implementd the SAP in which thier customer's/distributors comes under the customer data and the material they purchases is the material master data and the organisational master data is the data which represents the area/region to which the customer belongs to and atlast the conditional data is the pricing data for the material .
The user's who operates the business eg: end users and also who develops and support the SAP system is nothing but the User Master Data
Conclusion: Master Data -
> Business related
User Master Data ---> System related.

Ashok
