Adjust database connection timeout value

Hi Gurus,

Our programmers are connecting to an external database using DBCO. When they are testing it using SE38->ADBC_TEST_CONNECTION, invalid connections are timeout after 4 minutes. They have a request to adjust this timeout value. Pls advice on where I can change this timeout value.

I had tried parameter rdisp/max_wprun_time, but apparently, DBCO timeout is not caused by work process timeout.

Hi,

as of SAP Kernel 7.22 and 7.41 (HANA DBSL PL31) there is a number of parameters in profile which determine the timeout platformwise

for HANA you can look at note 1983389 - parameter is dbs/hdb/connect_property.
