Adaptive Job Server using SMTP Authentication

Hi All,

i've a problem sending Emails from web intelligence schedule report.

when you use none authentication it works fine if the email server within your domain.

but now, we have an Email server out of our domain and it forces us to use SMTP authentication (user name and Password)

all the time the schedule fails

any idea?

Kindly mention the complete error message and also let us know the prodcut version and patch level.

here is the error message after schedule

login error. [Authentication failed with [Login] authentication protocol. Return code: [SMTP 530 - Authentication required.].]: [CrystalEnterprise.Smtp]

we are on BI4 SP2 Patch 13

Hi Amr,

Thank you for the details.

It seems that your Mail server is requesting authentication but your Job server is not sending a valid username and password.

Make sure you have entered the valid username and password in smtp confguration of Adaptive Job Server.

Also make sure, under SMTP settings, change the 'To' user name to complete e-mail address of the recipient.
