Hi everyone,

I recently received an email from SAP which consist

The size of your User Activities log approaches its limit. There is only 9.97% free storage space left. When the User Activities log will reach its limit, the oldest entries will be deleted from the system to keep the log size below the limit.

I just want to confirm if the oldest model will be deleted if it reach the 100% of the storage.

Thankyou!

Every user activity in SAC is tracked via logging. The system creates log files for auditing, trace and tracking. This will only delete the logs files sorted by old dates and not the actual artifacts like models, dimensions. datasets etc. As a result you may lose some auditing of activities like who changed what for some old dates.

Please accept/upvote if this helps.

So it will just delete the user logs not the models?

Thankyou

Yes only logs from older dates to keep the log limit under check.

Also note that when deleting these logs you will lose your statistics for reporting.

Hi Vi,

A possible solution is to periodically download the logs and import them into a model to keep the statistics.

Kind regards,

foekenm that would make sense then, make a copy of the same SAC report and point it this that model.

You would think there would be a better process than manual intervention.
