ABAP OCR Reader for sales orders

Hi experts,

We have a requirement to read customer orders using OCR method inside SAP NetWeaver and extract the details and display it in the list manner. The emails will be received with attachment inside SAP inbox.

Is there any plug-in available to extract OCR data from PDF and get the details in ABAP Program?

Or if we use external OCR API then how to call it in the ABAP Progam?

Or is there any way how to achieve above objective?

You can find OCR software in SAP Certified Solutions or you can select any other software in the Web. You may call any software by command line or API from ABAP.

If you mean you have text inside PDF (and not text inside image inside PDF), you may need a PDF reader, not an OCR.

PS: your initial question was about OCR and now you are talking about PDF extractor in RPA. Please edit your question -> Actions > Edit. As you want the opinion/experience of people, please clarify what exactly you want to know, indicate the exact name of the product you are using, and why you're asking opinion if you have no choice in the product to be used.
