Adding ABAP Development Tool in Visual Studio Code

Step 1: Install ADT in VS Code
Open the Extensions view (Ctrl + Shift + X), search for ABAP Development Tools, and click Install on the extension published by SAP. Reload VS Code if prompted

Step 2: Open the Command Palette
Press Ctrl + Shift + P and type ABAP.

1. You will see ABAP : New Destination click on that
2. Select RFC(Private Cloud/On-prem) or HTTP(Public Cloud) as per your system..

Step 3: Select System 

Step 4: Enter the user
Enter the User ID of that system.

Step 5: Select the client
Choose the Client (for example, 100 or 800).

Step 6: Add the language
Enter the logon Language (for example, EN).

Step 7: Verify the destination
The new system now appears in the ABAP view in the sidebar.

Step 8: Log on
Right-click the system name, select Log on to Destination, and enter your Password.
