Hi Harald ,

I get below certificate in 2014. Now I see in CM site that this is valid only till 2016 year (summer). Can you explain that? I thought that certificates have life time validity.

C_TAW12_71 Development Associate - ABAP with SAP NetWeaver 7.02

Hello Kristaps,

this change was posted 2013 by Susan Martin in her Blog:

Frequently Asked Questions about SAP Certification

Do current certificates retain their validity?

The requirement to become recertified is based on the validity of your current certification status, as determined by solution release level. As a rule, SAP considers certifications on the two most recent solution release levels to be current and valid, but this can vary for some solutions.

Kind regards,

Harald

Thanks Harald,

Is it so that you need to do certification again from 0 when validation period ends? Or there can be done some other steps to re-NEW certification to newer one?

Hope for your explaining, Thanks.

Hello Kristaps,

to keep your Status you have to take an Exam. There are no other steps possible.

Kind regards,

Harald

Thanks Harald,

Can you please tell me which exam would replace C_TAW12_71 Development Associate - ABAP with SAP NetWeaver 7.02?

Hi,

The current exams (for ABAP Certification) are C_TAW12_731 and C_TAW12_740.

You should take the second one - it will last longer.

cheers

Paul
