Can anybody throw some light as where and when these import and export code groups used for.

I guess your query is regarding control groupings for products These control groupings are used for reducing the workload for import and export legal control and the license determination service. The system uses control groupings, for example, to determine which license types can be used for importing and exporting specific products that belong to a specific control grouping.

In business scenario, We can group together multiple Products having similar attributes and components. Hence requiring same license type. This reduces the work to a great extend, Instead of assigning specific licenses to individual products.
