Aligning different checking rules for master data GTS ECC

Hello, our GTS and ECC systems are not aligned when it comes to master data rules check. In certain circumstances Postcodes and PO Box are ok in ECC and then fail when passed to GTS due to different checking rules.

Has anyone any suggestions on the best approach to resolving this misalignment?

1) GTS adopts ECC checking rules

2) ECC adopts GTS checking rules

3) GTS gives a warning only

4) other...
