In our company, the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) element is equivalent to the phase of a project. So under one project such as building a new facility, the new facility would be the project definition and under that project each phase of the project is a WBS element. Phases can be The acquisition of the land, architecture, general contractor, and office furniture and equipment. During the project, the expenditures for the project are charged/posted against a WBS element. Each WBS element's activity is settled to an Asset Under Construction (AUC). When the project is final and if a final fixed asset is created the AUC activity is settled to a final fixed asset number. CJ01 is used to create the WBS element and CJ20N is the project definition builder.
