Unit testing, integration and functional testing

I would like to know the difference between Unit testing, integration and functional testing. And also what are the testing tools that are more commonly used?

Hello All,

May I ask you if there any FREE tools or LOW COST tools that can be used in Stress and Volume Testing in SAP Systems? Are there any tools recommended aside from Load Runner that can be used in Performance Testing?

Please advise. Any inputs are highly appreciated.
