Dear Giovanni,
If I understand well, you receive the unexpected error VL 255 "Termination during purchase order update" >>> and you are unable to create inbound delivery against PO.
The error is usually caused when there is an overflow of the database table EKES. For instance when the Field EKES-ETENS reaches 9999 entries for a given document.
To solve it you might consider that the field "EKES-ETENS" is only a 4-digit NUMC value field so you can only have max. 9999 entries.
If the highest EKES-ETENS is 9999 and there are 9999 entries, you can not longer use that PO, and this might also apply to the PO that is close to 9999 entries (i.e. 9990 entries).
The only way you can solve this is by creating a new PO and try not to reach this number of entries.
Hope that all the above makes sense and helps you to definitely solve the issue.
Bests,
Imre
