Hi ,

I would like to know - Is Solution Manger is part of SAP ERP software OR it is an independent software ? If I install SAP in my system can I access Solution Manager ?

Also the Blueprint template that is created in the Solution Manager is automatically converted into baseline configuration OR the consultant need to do it manually by referring to Solution Manager ? Please help ?

Regards,

Kumar

Hi,

Solution manager is part of ERP package.Ideally it should be configured in a separate system/box.

Most of the services and Components will refer to Solman system. This is basically used for project planning, monitoring and documentation of the entire project phase including service desk.

Regarding blue print customization, depends on project approach.

Developers do in DEV system and move to QAS for testing.

you can get more information from below links

Hi,

Its independent software, you can configure separate system or box . We can define system landscape, alert download the software etc. We can monitor the system landscape.

Solution manager is Netveaver7.0

Its independent Solution of SAP , you have to install it separately and for generation of blue print off-course need to create projects manually . its a helping hand for SAP Solutions .
