Segment without using document splitting

Hi Everyone,

We intend to use segment in Profit center as "reporting dimension".  

We don't want to use document splitting behind it.

Is it possible , not to use segment without document splitting?  

My understanding is that  Document Splitting affects balance sheet accounts and separate these accounts based on objects(Profit center, segment).

Related SSCUIs are  102322 , 103055  ,  120100 .

As outlined in SAP note 2868475 - SSCUI: Define Document Splitting Characteristics for General Ledger changes to the document splitting configuration are not supported in standard and if required customers must create an expert configuration request via a special Worldwide S/4 Request Repository (WSR) request.

This note is also highlighted in the related SSCUI's

Hi David,

If we do it as you mentioned, we only use segment as reporting dimension and no affect on BS accounts etc.

Is my understanding is correct?
