Hello SAP Team,
I always get confused on SAP Notes. As not worked in this area yet.
Per my understanding, SAP notes are steps suggested by SAP for bug fix in current SAP version.
From functional point of view, if there are SAP notes suggested, for any errors, how do we implement that?
(1) Do we have to follow the steps suggested in the note
(2) Or, do we implement that note itself by using BASIS help?
Thanks,
Sachin T

There are different types of SAP Notes-
1) Corrective notes- it contains the codes, when implemented in the existing system, corrects the issue relating to the note. For this we generally need ABAPer's help.
2) Informative notes- it explains the step by step configuration relating to the functionality. It may also contain information pertaining to a new component or a new functionality introduced by SAP

It depends
You look at the note, review it, and if it relates to code, I usually turn over to the developer
Very rarely do I give notes to Basis
