Please explain me the detail steps for through out cycle of sampling procedure in QM.

Pls revert Urgent.

Hi Vishal,

While doing valuation for Inspection lot, data gets fetched from Master inspection characteristics, inspection plan & material specifications depending on the setting you do in

quality management view ---> Inspetion setup -

---

> Inspection type fields.

First check setting in material master, if it is with mat specification, task list then setup material spcification & Inspection Plan with task list. Before that you have to setup cheracteristics with proper setting.

Go to MIC (T code QS23) & then go to control indicators, in sample tab you have to select checkbox for sampling procedure & SPC characteristics. then press enter & on second screen check checkbox for record measured values. Check whether you have selected proper settings in master inspection characteristics. Then go to inspection plan & then MIC's ---> select MIC row & the click on Sample button & then on next screen enter sampling procedure based on the criteria for qualitative & quantitative characteristics.Then try to valuate characteristics.

Please check the control indicator setting for master inspection characteristic that you have not selected the no characteristic recording .

Hi,

Pls. find the Sampling Procedure steps as below :

Creating a Sampling Procedure for Physical Samples

Choose Logistics ® Quality management ® Quality planning ® Basic data ® Sample ® Sampling procedure ® Create.

The initial screen for creating a sampling procedure appears.

Enter a name for the sampling procedure you want to create.

You can create a completely new sampling procedure or you can copy an existing one. Choose one of the following options accordingly:

To create a completely new sampling procedure

To create a new sampling procedure by copying an existing one

a.

Choose Sampling procedure.

The initial screen for creating a sampling procedure appears.

a.

Choose Copy.

A dialog box for copying a sampling procedure appears.

b.

Enter data in the required fields of the initial screen.

b.

Enter the name of the sampling procedure you want to copy.

c.

Choose Copy.

The initial screen for creating a sampling procedure appears.

d.

Change any existing data in the initial screen, if necessary.

In the screen block for inspection points, set the indicator for Sample management.

Choose Continue to display the next screen for the sampling procedure.

Enter or change the data as necessary and then save the data.

Result

You can assign the sampling procedure to a characteristic in an inspection plan that specifies a sample-drawing procedure in the inspection plan header.

You can create Sampling procedure through trx QDV1.

But let me know, in which scenario you are going to use Sampling Procedure.

Hi,

We want to do the inspection of incoming materials which are comes in bulk quantity. So for that perpose we want to do the sampling inspection for respective material.

Pls explain the detail steps for this scenario.

As you have explained in this thread is accurate even through proceed as follows,

T.Code QDV1

Assignments:

Sampling Type: fixed sample

valuation mode: manual valuation

Inspection points: w/inspection points

next screen

control chart Type Nil

Sample:

size 1

frquency : 1

I don't know whether it will much helpful for you but you definitly will come to close of your scenario.

Am able to create ans assign the sampling procedure to maerial. But at the time of result recording system gives one msg, charactiristic result cannot be recorded for inspection lot.

whats the solution for it.

1.Whether you are inspecting with task list or material specification

2.Where you have assigned Sampling Procedure

3. Whether you are assigned MIC

1) Yes, am using task list

2) Am assing sampling procedure in material master in inspection type.

3) Yes am assign Master inspection characteristic in routing and task list(QP01)

Hi,

Set indicaor "sampling procedure" in the MIC

System will ask you assign sampling procedure at the MIC Level in the inspection.

Don't assign Sampling procedure at inspection type level in the material master.

following indicators should be set at inspection type level

inspection with task list, check charac, automatic assignment.

pl generate new inspection lot after above settings
