Problem while creating the Customer Master Data

Hi,

Have a problem when creating the customer master data:

My screen is closing with this pop-up message " STOP ACCOUNT 47 already exists".

Please give me some idea to overcome this problem.

Hi

Pls confirm whether you want to create a new customer or want to extend the existing customer to a new Sales Org.

New Customer: If you want to create a new customer then you need to pick some other number since customer no 47 already exist. It shows that you are using external number range. But if you change the number range to internal ( Transaction:SNRO) then VD01/XD01 will automatically create a new customer for you with a different number.

Extend To New Sales Org: Pls use VD01 and extend the customer to a new Sales Area by referring the existing customer no 47

I am creating a new customer by extending the existing customer and this is internal number assignement.

Hi Shesagiri,

FYI:

I tried to create Customer master data with different t.codes XD01,FD01,VD01.

With all three t.codes I am facing the same problem but with different Stop Account Numbers.

Your advices and comments are welcome.

hi,

luks like the customer number already exists in the accnt grp. can u plz be more specific as to at wat stage do u get the message.
