Dear All,

I am going to Convinience one of the client for PM Module implementation,already Basic module implementation is going on like FICO,MM,PP,SD.

Can you tell me the benifits of PM Module Implementation at TOOL ROOM ?

client have 50 no of m/c but main problem regarding Manpower .

how PM Module Benificial for them ?

In 1st point ,whats KPI Stands For ?

But I am Going to conviniance GM Of Plant & he doesn't want SAP PM due to Less manpower ,

how will I Impress him & turm to positive reply ?

KPI - Key Performance Indicator are financial and non-financial metrics used to help an organization define and measure progress toward organizational goals[1]. KPIs can be delivered through Business Intelligence techniques to assess the present state of the business and to assist in prescribing a course of action. The act of monitoring KPIs in real-time is known as business activity monitoring (BAM). KPIs are frequently used to "value" difficult to measure activities such as the benefits of leadership development, engagement, service, and satisfaction. KPIs are typically tied to an organization's strategy (as exemplified through techniques such as the Balanced Scorecard).

The KPIs differ depending on the nature of the organization and the organization's strategy. They help an organization to measure progress towards their organizational goals, especially toward difficult to quantify knowledge-based processes.

Hi Nitin,

Try to understand whats your GM area of interest. GM level of an organization will think in a very practicle way. Generally in most of the industries management are interesetd in the following areas

1) Cost . Input and Output of a Department or plant.

2) Where is the money are going?

3) What are the reasons of any fluctuation in cost expenses.

4) What is the overall performance of the department.

5) What is the efficiency of the work force.

6) Proper maintenance and easily tracebility of any maintenance records. such breakdown records,cost.

.... etc

Find the suitable areas of his interest and show the capability of SAP. Most of the management requirements can be provided by SAP. On the other side whatever they are expecting is depends on whatever the data the end users are feeding into the system. Try to explain the simplest process in SAP to Capture the data. Generally end user are not interested in having too many transaction and steps. Do jump into explaining too many things at the same time.

Do some homework regarding SAP activity (hrs) Vs manpower availability . Identify the simplest and effective way to provide in SAP for his basic needs.
