Ishwar,
Is sufficent stock of the components of Phantom assembly is available. As you should be aware phantom assemblies are not stocked the dependedt requiremsts are only planned through Phantom assembly. if the stocks for the BoM items are already available then planned orders for these dependednt requirements will not be generated.
In whole thread I am not sure what your original probelm was. Is it that the dependednt requirements are not shown or planned orders are not created for the dependednt requirements. If it is planned orders are not created then what I said is valid.

Ram

Suhas,
What way MRP type affects in this scenario?
Ishwar,
Are you sure that the requirement is from the production order which was created or does this phantom assembly has got its own demand..... if it has got PIR on its own then Planned orders are created..please check this point

Prasobh
Ishwar,
Check in MRP4 view :
1) If Discontinuation Ind is set. If st remove it.
2) If MRP dep requirements value is set as 1. If yes remove it.
Are you using BoM change number effectivity ?

Ram

Hi Ishwar,
You can go for special procurement 50 - phantom assy in MRP-2 view.
And check whether the Explosion type is set to 02-Switch off Phatom assembly in Basic data for BOM item details.
Hope the information is useful.
Thanks and regards

Ishwar,
You need to check the BOM of the material for which production order was created. In the BOM item level details - Basic data tab make the "Explosion type" field blank, and also see that "Phantom Item" check box is activated. This details you need to check for the Phantom assembly component against which requirement is created.

Dear Mr.Ishwar,
Along with the fantastic answer given by Mr.Nandha,
1.IF in your header material say X present 2 HALB's of E 50 type say X1 & X2.
2.X1 & X2 has got individual BOM's with raw materails say A1 & A2 respectively,
then if you create a production order for X then in the requirements branch tree
you can see the requirements will be planned directly to the child item's that's A1,A2.
Since you are saying requirements are showing for 1 assembly alone means ,do u mean to say for the other phantom assembly ,you are not able to see any requirements?or what's the exact problem?
Check with the material master settings and revert to us.

Bom Explosion With Phantom Assemblies:
1. You need to maintain the special procurement key for the phantom Assembly
in the MRP 2 View of the material master
2. If a Bom item is a phantom assembly , the dependent reqmts of the higher
level assembly are directly passed to the components of the phantom
assembly skipping the phantom assembly.
3. Planned orders/ Purchase requisitions are created for the components of the
phantom assembly.
4. We can override the Phantom Assembly Setting by defining in SPRO --->
Define Explosion Types so that MRP Creates Procurement Propasals for the
Phantom Assembly itself.
ie We can Swith off the Phantom Assembly Settings.
This settting need to be defined in the BOM Item details screen in the Basic
Data Tab Page under MRP Area.
So check in your Bom whether switch off phantom assembly is defined.

Ishwar,
Is it requirements or reservations? In case of production orders this should be reservation not requirements. I think you might have changes special procurement type after creating production orders.
Please re-run the MRP for the header part with planning mode 3 from MD02. And check. Also check whether you have define in special procurement type in BOM item data like 60.
you can run MRP in simulation mode to verify this if do not want any new updates.
Please revert us after MRP run.

Dear ,
Its generating requirement for Phantom Assembly .
All other settings for Phantom Assembly are mantain "Explosion type" field blank, and also that "Phantom Item" check box is activated. For 1 phantom assembly it is showing as requirement & for other one its not .
