Missing DMS functionality (create DIR directly from object side)

Dear SAP experts,
I have trouble configuring my SAP DMS so that I can create DIR in an easy way (directly from ME51N, ME52N transactions)

Problem:
In ME51N/ME52N, there's no 'create document' option (icon) in a document links for position window (look at the picture below).

What I've learned so far:
According to THIS answer, by setting the 'Additional Functions' in the object link customizing of transaction DC10 to enabled, the 'Create Document' option should already be available. But it doesn't work for me.
Here's an example of what a dialog window with 'create document' option should look like:

(source: SAP Note 2308165)

Also, by looking up some other forum questions on DMS, I've developed a list of configurations required to get access to the 'Create DIR' functionality:

  • DC10, Link my document type to required object (EBAN) [DONE]
  • DC10, Define object links, Create document - 1 Create simple document [DONE]
  • DC10, Define object links, enable additional functions [DONE]
  • (optional) DC10, Define document types, Set "Document description" field to "optional input" [DONE]

How do I get 'create document' option? Please help me figure out what I did wrong or if I'm missing something.

Thanks in advance.

hello Aaron,

Just maintain one more setting in Maintain Screen for Object Link using the below path..

SPRO-->Cross-ApplicationComponents-->DocumentManagement-->ControlData--->MaintainScreenForObjectLink and write "1" for Auth field for SapObject EBAN.

And please retry to create doc from ME52n, let me know how it goes..

Regards

Sammar

Hello Sammar,
So I did as you said. I have set a "1" value in Auth field for EBAN object in MaintainScreenForObjectLink (see the screenshot below)

Now the dialog window for document attachment looks exactly like on the second screenshot (in my original post) and the layout is the same. But there's still no 'create document' icon (both in ME51N and ME52N):

An update:

Your answer is 100% correct. All I had to do after that is to switch the radio button to "All Versions" for 'create document' icon to appear

Thank you so much!
