Material master field sequence

Hi,

Please tell me how the material master field sequence can be changed suppose we want accounting 1 & 2 in place of basic data 1 & 2. how is it possible please tell me.

Hi,

Based on material type/ind sector you can change the sequence of veiws of material master.

SPRO->LG->Material Master->Configuring the Material Master-->Assign Screen Sequences to User/Material Type/Transaction/Industry Sector.

yes it is possible.

Go to SPRO: Logistic genral>Material master>configuring material master --->define structure of data screens for each screen sequence.

select one secreen sequence(SSq) from the table and click on "Data secreens" folder on LHS.

there you can find "Maint. status" column. each letter in this column denotes the each view.

another column "scree sequence" is there.

check the screen number of that view and change accourdingly. Do carefully

check this list

B Accounting

C Classification

D MRP

E Purchasing

F Production resources/tools

G Costing

K Basic data

L Storage

P Forecasting

Q Quality management

S Warehouse management

V Sales

X Plant stocks

Z Storage location stocks

SPRO >> IMG >> Logistics general >> Material master >> Configure material master >> Assign screen sequences....

Do only if you need it...otherwise use the given screen sequence by sap...

This work takes time...

Hi Sanjeev,

This is SAP standard. if you just want to see the accounting data first, then set the accounting 1 & 2 as your default setting. When you enter material code in MM03, a window will open, which shows all the feild of master data. Select from it accounting 1 & 2 and click on default setting. So when next time you will enter any material code. it will open accounting 1 first for you
