Is it possible to define material master in Main Group, Sub Group, Sub-Subgroup and Text with differnt number ranges

Material Code - 0101010001 - Bearing,Ball,Taper,5302

01-Bearing

01-Ball

02-Roller

0001-88023

Material Code - 0101020001 - Bearing,Ball,Roller,88023

Can we categories in this way.
