Is it possible to define material master in Main Group, Sub Group, Sub-Subgroup and Text with differnt number ranges

not possible.
Mater number can have 18 chars/ digits you can maintain your groups with in that.
number ranges for material master will be maintianed based onmaterial type.
It is not possible to maintian separate number range based on group
