Material code length

wht can be the maximum length of material code.

can we extend it.

there are some options, please check OSS notes 78093 and 400062.

However, better dont go this way, you client will not be happy, as you will get problems in many many areas, and it will increase the project costs, as you would have to change many many reports as material numbers longer than 18 cannot be shown, do not fit in exisiting reports and forms ....

Hi,

The maximum length is 18 for mateiral number range.

You can set material number length with OMSL t-code as per your requirement.

it isnot possible to increase material code length beyond 18 chracters

The Matl code ( Matl. No.) length is 18 Characters and Text length is 40.

U can't extend more than 18
