error in pre-processing phase

Hi Gurus,

We are in the preprocessing phase in SUM SP13.

OS- AIX

DB-Oracle-11.2.0.4

SAP- ECC 5.0 to ECC6EHP7

Please see the attached error screen shot

DpCheckMulticast: NiDgSendToMulticastAddrLocalCheck failed

*** ERROR => DpCheckMulticast: NiDgSendToMulticastA
DP_FATAL_ERROR => DpSapEnvInit: DpCheckMulticast failed

Please help to resolve the same.

Hi,

What is your AIX's TL level.

you can find the TL level by command- "oslevel -s".

Have you tried to update the kernel?

The technology level of AIX is TL2 as per the given command.Yes have patched the kernel to its recent level.

Hi,

follow sap note 1931675.

There is some bug reported in the TL2 of AIX for target kernel 742.You need to upgrade the technology level of AIX upto TL3. Please let me know if this works

Thanks for the clue on this. We have raised an incident with SAP on this and they have also confirmed to upgrade the TL upto level 3.
