Hi There,
I'm advised that the 'average' implementation time for Webtools e-Commerce is around the 10 day mark.
Would someone please provide a breakdown of how that 10 days would be used?
I have a prospect who beleives it should be 'plug and play' and cannot understand why the 10 days is required. A breakdown of each task which would need to be performed along with the times associated with each task would be most helpful right now.
Best Regards
Richard

Our company is also looking at the implementation of webtools with our SAP system,

our main concern is the synchronization and the flexablity of the layout, if anyone can help that would be greatly appricated.

Hi Shane
Our main concern is with the synchronization between the database on the websever, and the B1 database. As in how flexible is it? is it done once a day? or user set defaults.
Another concern is the skinning of the website, is it like easily skinable, or it is fairly intensive.
If you can, can you email me some sites that uses webtool? like sites that you think really stand out. because of the sites we have been presented with isn't really well presented, and kind of feel cheap.
my email is: [email protected]
cheers
Take a look at the demo site.

I think this thread does a decent job of explaining the issues involved in a webtools implentation. Basically, to get a polished product you will need a good designer and someone who has an advanced knowledge of web technologies. SDK documentation is virtually non-existant so there will be some frustrations trying to get things done.
The synch can be set to run at a specified interval. The minimum synch time is 5 minutes, but we recommend setting it 20 min.
UDFs do not synchronize, but you can work around this by using synch plugins. Additionally, customizing the Web UI to show the UDFs will take some work. You will definitely need a strong programmer to get this done.
