BAPI or Function Module for Open quantity calculation in Report

Hi Everyone,

I need to know Bapi or function module which returns open quantity for a report which extracts purchase order data. I do not want to manually build a logic for this since we might end up missing some scenarios which recently happened with me.

Please let me know if you guys have any suggestions.

Hi,

I have checked the BAPIs (BAPI_PO_ GETDETAIL, BAPI_PO_GETDETAIL1, BAPI_PO_GETITEMS) which I suggested you, none of them fulfil this requirement. The BAPI PO_GETDETAIL is the one to have the delivery schedule information, but the GR quantity, Open Quantity info is missing as we see in the transaction ME22N/ ME23N, the reason I assume is those are calculated fields (Structures). According to my knowledge, no BAPI provided with the info you're expecting and you must go for building own logic.

Hi Jay,

You can use standard report ME2L,ME2M,ME2N.

In the report still to be delivered (qty) field will inform you about open GR quantity and still to be invoiced (value) field will inform you about open invoice for PO and line item.

Hi,

   As of my knowledge there is no direct FM which can give you the open quantity. But you can use the FM: BAPI_PO_ GETDETAIL, which can give you the PO order quantity and go to the structure PO_ITEM_HISTORY_TOTALS, which can provide you the total of received quantity. You can find the difference, which will give you the open quantity.

Hi Bijay,

I need to calculate open quantity at GR level. I mean if there are multiple GRs, report should show open quantity after every GR considering all possible scenarios 102,122 etc

Hi,

How many PO's you are having where you are looking for pending data of PO at GR level ?

You can use t.code ME23N, Find the "Still to be delivered" quantity in Status TAB in PO header level which are pending for goods receipt which are all data PO open at GR level.

Alternatively you can go for development where picking data from EKBE table and compare NET order quantity in EKKO & EKPO, and then propose the open quantity. You need to go for logic for calculation, probably you need have a internal table within coding.
