Hi,

Recently my environment (SAP ECC 6 AS ABAP) was update to EHP5 SP 6.

Now the SAP delivery SP 10 for EHP5 (SPS 23). I already downloaded the *.SAR to update a test system, but it's my doubt.

Which does tool that i need to use SUM or SPAM? Are the both tools used to do it?

Thank you in advance.

Hello Denis,

Use of the tool :

SPAM : apply the support packages.

SAINT : Add-on installation/upgrade  or    Add-on installation/upgrade + Support package

SUM : SPS application, upgrade of the system.....more information about SUM uses can be found in the SUM central Note.

Dear Experts,

We are upgrading from ECC 6.6 SP 5 to 7 through SUM tool and stucked at DBCLONE step.

During pre-processing step it asked to create a table space PSAPSR3701XX of 96GB and this space was consumed and we added more 10GB but now it is 100% full.

PSAPSR3701X is only 105 GB which is 95%.

Please advice how much space is needed for new created table space PSAPSR3701XX as our database size is 240 GB.

Should we stop the SUM and drop the tablespace and go through SPAM?

Thanks

Hello Chander,

First of all you must always open a new discussion instead of just intruding into another.

And for your case SUM need not be used as its just SPS update in the system.

Now you can reset the upgrade in SUM and start a fresh update via SPAM. This would surely save your time and effort.
