i am very new to abap,, what i wanted to knave to know is that do i have to install server and sap logon to work on abap,, or can it be run like c++ etc. with the help of some kind of compiler.
There's clear instructions somewhere about how to get a server instance on which you can run ABAP. I'm sure someone will be along soon to give the link.
ABAP is an interpreted language, and requires a SAP Application server to run. You can't run it like C++.
