Instead of selecting answers on a theory-only exam, you’ll complete hands-on activities in an SAP-provisioned environment—demonstrating the day-to-day capabilities that matter on live sites. Unlike standard multiple-choice exams, this new certification provides candidates with:

• A SAP Commerce Cloud system, and
• A PDF containing a set of realistic tasks to complete

Candidates perform actual configuration and scenario-based exercises directly in the system. Once all required tasks are completed, they can submit their results for automated evaluation. Within minutes, candidates will know whether they have passed or failed — offering a faster, more authentic, and more meaningful way to validate capability.

This practical approach ensures that certified consultants are not only knowledgeable but also skilled in applying SAP Commerce Cloud functionality in realistic customer scenarios.

The Learning Journey for Developers and Technical Consultants on learning.sap.com provide the foundational knowledge required for the hands-on portion of the certification. They combine structured courses with access to practice systems for guided exercises, building familiarity with the interfaces, workflows, and configuration steps assessed.

2. (Optional) Attend the In-Person Classroom Trainings

For learners who prefer guided instruction, two classes are available:

• SAP Commerce Cloud Developer Part 1
• SAP Commerce Cloud Developer Part 2
