Dear SAP Community,

We SAP Developer Advocates are very much excited to welcome you all to the Week 1 of New Joule Studio Developer Challenge. You could complete this Week's challenge during your coffee-break, that's all it takes and stay on Top of what matters.

AI is fundamentally changing enterprise software and business processes.

SAP’s direction is clear – It is an Autonomous Enterprise that runs specialised AI assistants and AI agents that execute and manage end-to-end business processes and tasks. This challenge helps you align in this direction.

I work with Joule in ADT almost everyday for Unit test generation. It works wonderfully. But there are few constraints not everyone can understand without experiencing Joule in ADT -

1. When an object (say class) is opened, and we open Joule as a floating window, it automatically text context of the opened class and respond as per the class even when we are asking for some other class information.

2. If we have query regarding local classes or local test classes, unless we specify this, Joule cannot look into them and only cover global class logic.

3. For any topic where Joule cannot help, it gives response as "which object you are referring when asking the question". We cannot answer it as it will consider that answer as next query and if we pick the object from suggested options, then it just explains the object and forget we asked any query above.

4. It is good but not enough to help with ABAP logic. It works best only with Unit tests.

I experienced Joule for Developers in a CodeJam 16 April 2026 conducted by @sheenamk & @Shilpa_Shankar  & March SAP developer Challenge 2026 . It was good exposure to how joule is working with ABAP devs to support as a wingman and reduce the time for deployment.

Yes, I have had the opportunity to experience SAP Joule hands-on both at my organization and during SAP community events by @Shilpa_Shankar @Rekha_DR @sheenamk @shrinivasan_neelamegam @ajay_soreng

At IBM, I have explored Joule for Developers and Joule with SAP Build Code for AI-assisted development and productivity. I have also seen Joule capabilities showcased during SAP events, including SAP Inside Track sessions, where it was integrated with SAP Build Apps, SAP Build Process Automation, and Joule Studio. My experience has been that Joule significantly accelerates development, simplifies application creation, and enhances the overall developer experience through AI-powered assistance.

Yes in some Challenges and Now, i'm studying Generative IA Certification

I have experienced

- Joule for accessing the my organization specific knowledge during a FAT of the new custom feature implemented

- Joule on ADT ( Joule for developer) to create Unit test cases

Its a very user friendly and Business relevant engagement layer for all the roles at all the levels in an organization with a single entry point.
