Hi all,
I have an issue in setting the zipcode or postal code in t-code oy17 (Country Field checks).
Eg 1: (SAP configuration country field checks for Nepal )
Postal code length - 6, checking rule - (4 Length to be kept to exactly, numerical, without gap)
As per wikipedia it is 5 digit but it accepts only 6 digits
Eg 2: ( Sap configuration country field checks for Romania)
Postal code length - 7, checking rule - (4 Length to be kept to exactly, numerical, without gap)
As per wikipedia it is 6 digit but it accepts 7 digits.
Can anyone know any patches, oss notes, FM that would configure all zipcode lenght and check rule based on the country entered by user.
Earliest reply would be highly appreciated.
Thanks.

Why didn't you search OSS notes yourself for your exact level of ECC, there are many such notes (*) relative to country specific checks like ZIP length, try keywords "Romania" "zip" "code" ?

Raymond
(*) for example - Note 1247735 - Romanian Postal Codes Length - ECC 6.0 contains a link to Note 537272 - Enhancements for SAP installation, Romania

Hi Raymond,
Thanks for your reply..
I needed the zipcode for all countries over the world (not only romania or nepal) which has to be configured with recent correct zipcode length and check rule.
Currently using SAP ECC 6.0.
thanks.

That vould depend on the exact ehp and SP level when your installed your system, and if someone was required to follow "legal notes" and similar notes as soon as they are published. I wont be optimistic SAP to provide this for you (you can neertheless try to send an OSS message)
Extract from Note 770258 - Country Specific Checks - updated
Reason and Prerequisites
Delivery customizing is not updated.
Solution
Please note that the correct customizing of country specific checks is a consulting issue. The SAP delivered customizing is only a suggestion and may not be correctly updated. In case of doubt, please verify with local consultants which are the actual settings.

Raymond
