workflow issue

We have simple requiremnt where we need to create

a task for supertype IDOCDELINS , i have created the

task with method as INPUTFOREGROUND in object method

category and in the tab triggering event i assigned

Event as INPUTERROROCCURRED and in terminating event

i assigned event as INPUTFINISHED. but when i test

these using sw01 tcode i am not receving any mail

can any budy help me regarding this

Hi,

have you checked whether your event linkage is ok? Please have a look at transaction SWETYPV.

As you are giving very little information, it´s quite hard to say, why it´s not working as wished.

If you are not running Workflows reguallarly, take a look at the workflow customizing (SWU3). If that doesn´t help, check your mail configuration. Have you tried to run transaction SWUD and check your workflow there?

There are lots of possibilities.

Thnaks for replying back , well i didn't create

any workflow for these , i have just create a task,

as task requriment is simple ,that whenver inbound

idoc is received in system ,mail should be sent to user

,hence defining entire workflow is not necessary only

task is enough , i have assigned agent to this task,

and did what is already mentioned

One more thing ,if i go to swus tcode it

show status as in process for long time

trigger your event (you can simulate it in SWU0) and then check in SWEL event log, it can show why your task was not started.

You can check type linkage in SWE2 to see if your event is linked to your task.

you all are very near to answer ,now let me explain

what exactly is happening ,i have object type ZDOCDELINS

which i am trying to test ,transcation is SWO1 , THESE

OBJECT HAVE SUPERTYPE IDOCDELINS and the status is implemented ,now there is a task no TS98700002 ,whose

object type is one mentioned above ZDOCDELINS and method

is INPUTFOREGROUND for triggering event tab event is

INPUTERROROCCURRED and for terminating events tab event

is INPUTFINISHED

1) wether event linkage is there ,answer is right

,when i went to transcation swe2 there is already configuration with following parameter

object category : BOR Object type

Object Type : ZDOCDELINS

Event : INPUTERROROCCURRED

Receiver Type : TS98700002

Type linkage: enabled

as far as i know these is created by system automatically

now let talk about agent assignemt ,if you go to

agent assignement , aggent has been assigned ,

now when i go for testing these object type

swo1 tcode ,object type ZDOCDELINS and go for test and click on instance ,it ask me idoc number ,which i have

given as input ,but when i run it ,it run and show lot

of thing ,but when i check my sbwp tcode ,no mail

has been recived so far

one more thing i forgot to mention when i trigger

my task using swud tcode ,Test environement ,simulate event ,it show me event simulation log where one task

is in red status ,error is Error in binding definition

well i have seen that nobudy has replied so far

regarding above mentioned issue, well there is a change

in my question

1) we need to create a task where

mail should be sent to user ,as soon as inbound idoc in system is failed, i have created a task for these

and even check an event assignement for these ,every thing work fine ,but i am not receving mail

in my workspace

object type : IDOCORDERS

method : INPUTFOREGROUND

triggering event : INPUTERROROCCURRED status is green

Hi,

Is your Workflow triggering or not.

If it is triggering check the workflow log in SWI1 and see what would be the problem.

Hi Ramu,

When i checked the log my task is not there in the

list, these mean my task is not getting triggered

,but if i see ,indound idoc got failed ,so event

should get triggered ,but i don't know why it is

not triggering

Hi,

Go to T Code SWELS and Activate trace and check SWEl; after an Inbound IDOC got failed. There you can see whether triggering event is caputured or not.

sorry for a change , my task is gettting triggered

but status is ERROR ,if i go and check the log ,it say

status as no agent is assigned , infact i have assigned

the aggent

Hi,

How you have determined the Agent by Rule or the mail should be sent a USER ID.

Check SWU3 for customization , check whether Background processing is been customised or not.

i didn't assign agent by rule , i have assign these by

going to additional data > agent asignment > maintain

but when i go again to additional dat > agent asignemnt >

display it will pop up messahe box with following info

"General task: can be edited by all users ",then

how to assign agent to these

Hi,

In your workflow, go to your task there you have a tab script, select the tab 'Control' there you can give the agents.

For your testing purpose frist give the Agent as User against it give your SAP User Id.
