workflow: binding is not saving

Hi everybody.

I'm new to workflow. I had a little modification to apply to an existing task. I added a container to the task because I need some data for my method and also added a parameter to the method I'm modifying and when I go in the binding for method, I click on auto-generate to add my new item and I can see it appear in both sides in the box below the tree view. I check for errors, no problem, then click on the green check and save. When I go back to see the binding, it's empty! What am I doing wrong?

I tried to run the transaction SWU_OBUF and it didn't help

Please help me, I need that to work ASAP!

Hello Benoit,

I'm assuming you are dealing with binding in the task builder (PFTC transaction) not the workflow builder (SWDD transaction). Try to assign binding manually without auto-generation.

Also, are you getting any pop-up when you click ok? For example, there is a pop-up that asks whether you want to copy missing elements. Be careful whether you select Yes or No as sometimes your container elements are removed.

One more thing to consider, check whether you are assigning an "import" or an "export" container element. Import container elements need to go in the top binding box while export container element need to go in the bottom binding box. If the task is not synchronous, then you can't have any export container elements.

Hope these comments are helpful. Let me know if it works.

Regards,

Abdullah
