web services - connection closed by remote host

I am trying to execute a web service from SOAMANAGER but it keeps giving me the error

Any ideas what the source of this error is?

An error has occurred. Maybe the request is not accepted by the server:

Connection closed by remote host.

- An authentication prompt would be popping up somewhere and you did not see it?

- Also make sure you are getting a domain name and not an IP address in the URL.

- try opening the webservice URL from a browser - so as to make sure the network isn't stopping you,

- check if the service is activated in SICF.

Hi Megan,

Is your network running a proxy server? If it does it will be necessary to provide proxy details and authentication details(id/pw) to make your webservice work.
