Variant Creation

hi,

i get an error while i create variants for a report. the error is <b>Invoking Handler by Batch User Not Allowed</b>. what's the cause of it? how to solve it?

is that program is standard or custom one.

who created that variant, if it is not by you create another variant and try..

what is the program and i could able to run SA38.

if every thing fine then check the authorizations for user to run batch jobs ..

how are you creating the variant?

directly or from some trxn.

the program name is <b>MEREP_DISTRIBUTOR</b>

there is no variant that exists in my server.

the user has <b>SAP_ALL</b> authorization.

Me too getting the same error, i feel this kind of programs batch processing not allowed.

there has to be some way out. or SAP woudn't ask us to do it in the configuration steps.

Hi,

there is a table MEREP_608(Handler Control Record) wherein the program checks for an entry ( which indicates batch user allowed or not). there is no record in the table, hence the error message is invoked. I think u need to create an entry, for this first just consult SAP in OSS. Hope it helps,
