Using IMPORT parameters in Search Help

Hi,

How to use IMPORT parameters in search help? I have created a search help in SE11 and I want to know how the fileds with IMPORT flag checked can be populated automatically in my SE38 program?

Hi For this ,

you have to assign the search help to the field in the table .

Go to SE11. Open the table , select the field and click search help .

Select Generate proposal , save and activate ,

then it will appear in the selection screen of your program.

hi,

I generated the proposal and activated it.

But it is still not appearing in the selection screen. Can you tell me how to actually use it in the program? I am using it through matchcode Object.

Hi write something like this :

s_aufnr FOR zpconfm-aufnr MATCHCODE OBJECT zaufnr,

where zaufnr is search help

For a screen structure - go into SE11 for the relevant structure, then on the Entry help/check tab you can select which screen field to attach the help to, and then specify mapping of structure fields to search help import fields via the Search Help button inside the tab.
