How do I update the Table-type in the Adobe form (Context). There were 9 field in the structure ,I added one more field which is not reflected automatically. So I tried drag drop in the context but it makes a new tabletype instead of updating it.

Please help.

Hi Abhishek,

Is the field updated in the interface area of the adobe form ?

Just delete the previous table and create a new by dragging it into the context area.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Ya the table type is updated in Interface but deleting the previous table will delete the mapping of other fields in layout right? Is there any other way u can think of. i don't want to risk mapping of old fields.

You no need to map separately if you change the context table type in the layout. You just drag and drop the table type node from Data view tab(No need of mapping individually).

I hope you understood update table type in the Context. After that

1) Click on Layout

2) Delete your old table which you placed in Master page or Body page.

3) Now you have to drag and drop the table node from Data view tab to Materpage/Bodypage.

4) So that it automatically mapped all the fields.

Hi Abhishek,

Once you refresh the table in the form context, you will need to update the binding in your layout for the table (for DATA for the table in object palette). This should propose the updated format of your table which shall update layout without you having to delete and re-map the table from data view.

Note - Option of refresh is available in Data view on Layout, but not in Hierarchy view.

regards,

Shipra.

Hi Abhishek,

You have to come back to initial screen and then delete your table type in context which is drag and drop from interface. Now drag and drop the table type from Interface to context.

Hi Abhishek,

You can update the table type context directly, without deleting your existing table type from context. Go to your adobe form. Click on tab "Context". First refresh the interface on left side and see if it is displaying the updated table type. Then select that particular table on right side in Context and refresh it through the refresh icon being displayed on top of the context elements list.

Hope it helps.

Diksha
