Unloading point in customer master - Direct input or BAPI?

Hi gurus,

I have to make a massive upload of unloading points (with receiving point and department) on several customer master records.

What method is better? LSMW with direct input or BAPI or what?

Can you please enlighten me?

I can't see any reason why can't use any of the two. Its up to you I'd say.

Classic question has been discussed many times for different scenarios  .Not sure for Customer master or not.

To find out what is better and good you need to decide the criterions first. Looking at the below links you find out what can be done and what not using all possible methods of LSMW and   advantages/disadvantage .Then you need to write a small program and compare the performance and see what areas of Update get touched internally while uploading  unloading point and then compare the performance.I am afraid ,there is no hard and fast rule about which one is better.

I would say go with what theory says and present the result to community once you decide what is better .

what is the direct-input name for unloading point upload on customer master?

If there is no direct-input, is there any BAPI? What's its name?

Could you please check if these fields are available in method maintain_bapi of the class CMD_EI_API .
