Unable to log for debug

I have a LoginModule which is an extension of the AbstractLoginModule.

FYI, I replaced the default Basic..with a slightly modified to add more debug logs, to understand the flow.

The Code looks like ....

static Location MyLogLocation = Location.getLocation("com.sap.engine.services.security.server.jaas.BasicPasswordLoginModule");

MyLogLocation.debugT("initialize:MyModule");

I am not able to see any log using the LogViewer ,even If I have to specify a hard coded path say C:\SapLogs, and use FileOutputStream to write, I am not seeing any of the logging lines that I add, even the default logging lines disappear,

can anyone let me know whats wrong here, I am a fresher to SAP?

Hi,

Have you checked the defaultTrace to see if there is any indication that the login module is being invoked ? if not, you should check that the ticket auth stack has been confgured with the login module.

Also, take a look at LoginModuleClassLoaders in Visual Administrator to ensure that the login module is being loaded.
