Transporting Varaints

Hi all,

can Varaints be transported from one system to another system, if so then how they are protected.

Hello,

Go to SE38-> enter the program Name->choose variants->utilities->transport Request->press F8 -> Choose the variant you want to transport.

For transporting the variants you need to run a report program <b>RSTRANSP</b> in se38.

Give the program name and variant name...

Hi,

Thanks for the answer, but do you know how to protect the varaint so that no one changes it, only the user who has created the varaint should have the authority to change it

Hello,

In the variant attributes just check Protect Variant Check box.

SE38->enter program name -> choose variants-> enter variant name -> attributes -> change.
