Transaction definition

Hello,

We are experiencing an issue when running an ABAP report program through a transaction code. The transaction code was created in se93 with the program name and 1000 as the screen number. When the transaction is entered the selection screen appears ..but when executed the screen returns to the SAP menu screen. The transaction that does not work is created as a report transaction, I created a similar transaction as a dialog transaction and it works like it should. The strange thing is I have deleted and redefined the original transaction and tried to specify it as dialog but the system changes it to report type.

Any thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated.

Deleted...I re-read your message...I had a similar problem but the developer had picked the first radiobutton instead of the 2nd (report transaction)....did what you're describing...

Is there a specific part because the code is too large to cut and past and post.

Does this happen as soon as the execute button is pressed? Or after the report is produced and the back button is pressed? Or something else?

I deleted the transaction then definied it and selected the report transaction rather than the dialog and now it works.
